Appledore Cove wins 2009 sofi™ Gold Award for Outstanding Cooking Sauce or Flavor Enhancer from the NASFT

North Berwick, Maine (July 2009) Jeff and Tom are excited to announce that their Seaside Barbecue Sauce has been selected as the Gold Winner in the 2009 sofi™ Awards for Outstanding Cooking Sauce or Flavor Enhancer. The sofi™ Awards recognize excellence in specialty food and beverages in 33 categories and are a coveted industry honor.

The winners were announced at a red-carpet ceremony at the 55th Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. Noted chef Ming Tsai presented Jeff and Tom with their sofi™ Gold Award, a chef statue.

Jeff Garstka and Tom Gorski are "The Two Guys from Maine" who left their high tech jobs in 2002 and turned their love of food into their own specialty food company.
